John Zappia has claimed victory over championship leader Paul Mouhayet in another tight Pro Slammer final at Adelaide International Raceway. Due to strong winds blowing across the track racing was reduced to the eighth mile distance and Zappia recorded a 3.799 time to defeat Mouhayet’s 3.867 for the first time in five meetings.

In the Pro Stock category Aaron Tremayne’s attempt to extend his string of victories to seven was brought to a halt by his brother Tyrone who recorded a 4.583 second time.

Pro Bike saw Corey Buttigieg extend his Championship lead with a victory over Maurice Allen who has moved into second in the points. Wayne Newby won the Top Fuel match race series 2-1 over his Rapisarda Autosport International team mate Damien Harris with the duo delivering three side by side races never separated by more than a hundredth of a second thrilling the big Adelaide crowd.
