Race vehicles requiring a Tech Inspection and Log Book under the IHRA Australian Supplementary Rulebook will require an inspection every two years.
Your main point of contact for submitting paperwork, asking questions and further information is your local IHRA track.
Vehicles not currently ‘teched’ will need to be inspected prior to a Tech sticker and Log Book being issued.
To organise a Tech Inspection, please contact your local IHRA track or visit ihra.com.au for a list of Tech Inspectors in your area.
IHRA Tech Inspectors undergo an examination process with the IHRA and SFI and are issued with IHRA / SFI accreditation.
Only inspectors holding that accreditation are authorised to undertake tech inspections.
Once your inspection is completed, the inspection result along with your application for an IHRA Log Book must be submitted to your local IHRA track, which will issue your Log Book and Tech sticker.
IHRA Australia Log Books are permanent and stay with the vehicle through its racing life.
If you hold an IHRA Australia Log Book already, you must return it with your Tech Inspection result and Log Book application form so that any updates can be made to your Log Book by your local IHRA track.
As required, additional inserts will be added into your IHRA Australia Log Book as more space is needed.
Your local IHRA track may also organise group Tech days at the venue from time to time.
