Communications Provider OVO Mobile has secured the live streaming broadcast rights for the 400 Thunder Australian Professional Drag Racing Series.
As the 400 Thunder’s new Telco and Media Partner, OVO Mobile will live stream all 400 Thunder events to fans globally and for OVO Mobile customers the stream will be data free.
This partnership represents the first free-to-access live stream partnership for the 400 Thunder series.
“OVO Mobile Drag racing fans can now watch unlimited mobile video and live stream content of their favourite sport without any data usage concerns,” said Matt Jones, CEO OVO Mobile.
“Not only will fans get all the live action, they’ll also get behind-the-scenes footage shot exclusively by OVO Mobile as the official Telco and Media Partner of Thunder 400 as well as all of last year’s highlights to watch on demand.
“We’re also excited to be helping the Queen of Speed, Rachelle Splatt make her comeback on the track after a ten-year absence as she joins OVO Mobile as our official Ambassador,” Mr Jones said.
“Fans who can’t make it to the track on the day won’t miss any of the action as they can live stream it on their phones or tablets through OVOPlay.”
“We’re committed to bringing sport to the fans and already people can stream V8 Supercars race audio and live stats, Audi Sport Customer Racing in car, Gymnastics live events and now drag racing through OVOPlay.”
“I think enabling people to watch sport from anywhere in the world on their phones is not only convenient but will have a positive impact on the sport itself, increasing the fan base through accessibility.”
“In Australia drag racing has over half a million fans and thousands of competitors and that’s going to continue to grow. I’m proud OVO Mobile is part of that growth.”
