Entries are now open and entertainment is booked for one of the biggest racing events in New South Wales, the 2016 Nitro Champs.
Sydney Dragway working hard to keep the action flowing on and off of the track, with the awesome nitro-powered Top Fuel cars, Pro Slammers, and everything else you would expect from Australia’s quickest and fastest professional drag racing series, 400 Thunder, ready to put on a an action-packed, Saturday show for the fans.
Sydney Dragway general manager, Peter Beaumont said the Nitro Champs will offer a unique experience.
“We want the Nitro Champs to be a massive event, and a tighter show,” Beaumont said.
Following the high horsepower blitz of the 400 Thunder pros on Saturday, 7 May, the following day will see the 400 Thunder Sportsman Series take to the track in a Mother’s Day celebration.
All of the Sportsman classes* will take to the track in traditional elimination style racing, along with the Sydney Dragway debut of the ‘Pro Radial’ class.
The first 500 Mums through the gate will receive a rose as a thank you from Sydney Dragway, along with special mentions for Mums during the day.
“We also have a huge Show ‘n Shine lined up with awards, trophies and judging, as well the opportunity for the kids to get free ice creams and colouring competitions and much more,” Beaumont said.
“We want to make it fun for everyone, kids, parents, and the racers.
“We have entries pouring in and we can’t wait to put 400 Thunder in front of our Sydney race fans.”
The 400 Thunder television program on Foxsports 5 will cover the Nitro Champs.
