Jake Donnelly won Pro Alcohol in dramatic fashion on Saturday night, taking a holeshot win in the Final of Pro Alcohol over Championship leader Steve Read by only 5 thousanths of a second, only to have his parachutes fail to blossom in after the finish line and end up with the car hard into the Willowbank Raceway catch net.

400 THUNDER CONFIRMS RETURN TO THE PERTH MOTORPLEX

The 400 Thunder Aeroflow Drag Racing Series has confirmed that the Perth Motorplex will feature on the 2024 Season Calendar in for the first time since 2018. The long-term agreement will see the Championship Series return to the west for the next three seasons in April of each year.

2024 CALENDAR UNVEILED FOR THE 400 THUNDER AEROFLOW DRAG RACING SERIES

The 400 Thunder Aeroflow Drag Racing series today confirmed that it will change the season format from the current financial-year season that has traditionally ended with the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway in June, to a calendar year season more in line with other major sporting leagues and series. This change does not affect any events in the current 400 Thunder Aeroflow Drag Racing Series Super Season.

In light of the cancellation of the Scheduled 400 Thunder Aeroflow Drag Racing Series Rounds at The Bend Dragway (due to construction delays) and Heathcote Park Raceway, the series has made the following changes to the remaining events on the 2022-23 season calendar.

Unfortunately, the next scheduled round of the 400 Thunder Aeroflow Sportsman Series at Palmyra Raceway has been cancelled. The Palmyra Drag Racing Club took a vote as to whether to proceed with the event, and as Palmyra has already hosted a round of the 400 Thunder Aeroflow Sportsman Series in this “Super Season” (2021-22-23), the decision was made by the club to not proceed with the event.

Current points leader for the 2022/23 Pro Stock Championship, Tyronne Tremayne is currently being treated for a serious injury after falling on his shoulder while leaving work on Friday. The heavy fall left him needing immediate surgery and will require 6-8 weeks’ recovery time but could be up to a year for full use of his arm.
