After a stunningly successful opening to the season at Nitro Up North, 400 Thunder is pleased to announce an expanded calendar for the 2017-18 400 Thunder Championship Season.

In addition to foundation tracks Sydney Dragway and Willowbank Raceway and last season’s new addition Springmount Raceway in Cairns, the 400 Thunder Series has added 4 new venues to the calendar for the New Year.

Pro Slammer and Top Bike will have the busiest calendars of all professional categories, with 8 & 7  Championship rounds apiece, with Pro Slammer to be in attendance at every track on the calendar at least once over the season.

Pro Alcohol will see 6 rounds of championship racing, with a return to the Perth Motorplex sure to be a highlight of the season in March.

Pro Stock and Pro Stock bike sees 6 and 5 rounds respectively, with the 4 wheel variety making their first appearance under the 400 Thunder Banner at Calder Park and Adelaide International Raceway.

400 Thunder Chairman Tony Wedlock today said “We are excited at the prospect of taking 400 Thunder nationwide over the new season. There have been some minor delays in the release as we worked through some issues to ensure that the calendar works for all stakeholders, and by consulting closely with the racer representatives and the new promoters to the series I think we have a calendar and series that will provide the platform for us to drive the sport into the future”.

“This is year one of an expanded National Series, introducing four new tracks to the 400 Thunder Professional Drag Racing Series. As we move forward into subsequent years, we aim to re-shape and improve the calendar” Mr. Wedlock concluded.
